Well the festival itself is culturally inspired, so I guess it makes sense.

That said though; would you even attend a festival where the reward was that you could gain a mask that looked like Koss? You relaly want his ugly mug pasted over yours?

My most favorite is the zombie face paint. I would have loved to be able to where a helmet with that, too. The werewolf is ok, I guess. Although I'd rather see a more beastly one. Like it would resemble more of a wolf monster than the classic werewolf movie. Either way, I'm pretty satisfied mainly because of the zombie paint. I would have liked to see a skeleton mask. Maybe there will be one next year?

but then how are you supposed to SEE the effect? If it just covers the smallest amount of the facial area of the head possible, then people will be like"wtf this is? I can't even see it"

It covers the facial area just fine. I have no trouble seeing it, I suggest glasses.

Both suck ass. I can't enjoy them because they give no armor benefits!

We've been down this road many times before. They are masks. They are for events. They are for fun. No more, no less.

First event I didn't get masks, and they're not half bad. Oh well, not like I'd ever use them :|

Is it just me or was the zombie face paint mask modeled after michael jackson? Just make it paler/ whiter and it strikes a decent resemblance. Especially the ugly nose.

I'm kinda dissappointed in guild wars.
They usually give you a chance to get the masks after.
I missed the halloween weekend because i was out having a life.
I don't like em much anyway, but i wanted to collect em all

Liked them both but the Werewolf mask doesn't suit some characters.

On my Male Ritualist it looks good On my Female ranger it didn't
I think its the size of the head compared to the body of the character.

Some look like a werewolf others like they are wearing a mask that's too big.

Good effort though and better than last year.
Havn't tried dye yet but would like to alter the grey wolf with some black dye

Usually?

They've done it like 3 times out of how many events? And never once for Halloween....

Mask events are always a whole day. 24 hours. I had to work the whole day, I even went to a halloween party, if thats not having a life, then I don't know what is, but I still managed to get both masks. Its not hard to leave your computer running with your character in town.

Well ...
Halloween is supposed to be scary, and what's scarier then looking like Koosy?

My first Halloween to miss, I can't believe that I forgot that mad king is coming on Friday
I have not been playing much since mid summer but now after missing the masks I feel out of the loop of Guild Wars.

The zombie face paint is nice (though they should have just made it a zombie mask and go all out).

The wolf mask looks like one of the werewolfs from those really bad bad b-rate werewolf moves from the 80's. It also has a cropping problem (that makes it ridiculous looking) with at least the necrotic armor (not sure what if any other armor's it may also have a problem with).

A vampire mask would have sent people into a frenzy (an idea for next year?).

And to get back on the werewolf mask, was it deliberate to make the mask look silly? Depending on the angle it looks like an old grey skinned crazy witch. And on female characters it looks gigantic (like a bobble head). Now I can understand if the dragon masks and the grasp masks also has a tendency to be huge on small characters but you'd think the werewolf mask would have been more sleek and "form fitting"?

Give me Lon Chaney's werewolf-look any day over the grey scraggly thing we got.
